Champ Man - Completed

The game recently kept on crashing on my iphone so I restarted the game on the ipad mini & took OUFC on winning streak culminating in winning the premier league & FA cup in my 7th season.

It is a simple management game but enjoyable enough for me to dream with Oxford United.

Champ Man - Premier League

Off to a bad start in the premier league losing my first three games, I tried pre-season to sign a few players without breaking my wage limit of 20K but the first three results left me with no choice but to go and splash out my transfers funds & break my wage limit.

The three players I signed were goalkeeper Sepe (83), leftback Sini (87) & striker Dybala (88) my target for the season is to avoid relegation. Hopefully with the three players signed I can survive until the January transfer window.

Champ Man - Championship

     

A strong finish to the season winning 10 games on a trot secured the Championship title now I need to buy a few more players to strengthen the squad especially my goalkeeper, leftback & a decent striker.

Oxford back where they belong in the top flight.

On a side note the ticker tape shows that Liverpool won the premiership title. Hopefully that will become true this year.

Champ Man - Europa League

I was distracted for a while by Scurvy Scallywags & Pocket Mine (I really need to start creating posts of games I've given up playing, maybe a new trash category) but I've now given up on both of those games & returned back to Champ Man. Oxford are now in the championship & thanks to the FA Cup win also the Europa League.

Europe is tough & my team of 65 to 75 rated players were just not enough to compete. The highlight was one home win against FC Shalke but we ended up finishing bottom of the group.

Now the focus is to ensure a challenge for promotion.

Champ Man - FA Cup Winners

I've not played Champ Man for a long time & last left it gearing up for a FA Cup Final against Chelsea.

A bad start with Mata scoring in the 4th minute but 2 goals before half time & some solid defending 2nd half gave Oxford the FA Cup win.

Champ Man - Penalties !!

What a tense semi-final, taking the game into extra time & finally winning the penalty shootout to set up an FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Champ Man - Going to Wembley !!

Beating Wigan away set up a FA Cup quarter final against Everton.

Which I managed to draw taking the replay back to the Kassam Stadium.

At home winning the game 1-0 & now OUFC are off to Wembley to play a semi-final against Blackburn.

Come on you YELLOWS !!

Oh yes !! The FA cup run continues.

Champ Man - FA Cup

A win against Aston Villa to start off the FA Cup campaign.

Next round I get a home tie against Man Utd. If it was not for Welbeck's late goal I would have won the match. 

Wish me luck for the replay at Old Trafford.

Champ Man - Leven Retires

At the age of only 32 Peter Leven has decided to retire, really gutted he was my star midfielder scoring 38 goals for me last season.

So I went looking on the transfer market & purchased Hartmann for 1.6 Million signed on a 5 year contract at 7K a week.

So far he has had a great start scoring 6 goals in 10 games.

Champ Man - League One Champions

Bring on the championship !!

After winning the League One title on my first attempt the board have set me an easy target to avoid relegation.

With my squad of 60+ ability players I don't think that will be too difficult but I will need to delve into the transfer market to purchase a few 70+ ability players. The board have given me 3 Million to spend, I think a strong defence & keeper is a must so I will look for a 70+ keeper & defenders.

Champ Man - Oxford vs Swindon

The home game earlier in the season was a close 2-2 draw. But the away game was an easy 2-0 win that leaves Swindon struggling at the bottom half of the table.

Since starting my managerial career with OUFC one player has been an amazing revelation. Scottish attacking midfielder Leven.

Only a few more matches to go till the end of the season. I'm easily going to win the League One title with a 5 point lead over Leyton Orient already & only 4 games left to play.

Champ Man - Oxford United

Champ Man is a free iOS game with in-app purchases. I have happily been playing the game with no need to purchase the in game credits at all. I have managed to sign some players with 60+ ability to build a very good squad.

Oxford United are the League Two champions easily beating Gillingham to the title.

The highlight of the season was beating local rivals Wycombe 4-7 away.

When you start the game you cannot start with a premier league club unless you pay for an in app purchase. So instead of choosing Liverpool I decided to start my managerial career with Oxford United instead.

It's been a great start taking Oxford to league one & currently I am top of the league just winning a title decider against Leyton Orient.

Hopefully I can finish the season strong & take Oxford into the championship.
